Since 2024, before you deposit, you need 2 reports from experts who may propose aspects for improvement. : https://www.doctor.urv.cat/en/phd-students/writing-thesis/experts/The thesis you deposit must include these changes. These experts can be members of the thesis jury (examining panel).

Thesis books:

The group pays for 6-7 copies (1 copy for the student, 1 for the director ((+ 1 forhe co-director if you have one)), 3 for the jury members, 1 for ICIQ), if you have the "International Mention" you can order 8 books (2 for the international reviewers). The URV doesn't need a printed copy.

Núria Vendrell has to place a purchase order, so tell her well in advance when you're going to need the books.

If you want extra copies you need to pay for them yourself and arrange with the printers to have 2 invoices: one for ICIQ and 1 for you (see the details in the "ICIQ Procedures" section http://aliga.iciq.es/wiki/index.php/ICIQ_Procedures)

Fees

Thesis exam fees and certificate issuance fees: the student has to pay for them, ICIQ does not cover these expenses.

The issuance receipt is usually accepted as proof of having a Ph.D. degree, you'll need it when applying for postdoc positions.
