* ABOUT US: Our lab's called PB 12 and at ICIQ we're known as "The Theoreticians" ("Los Teóricos").


* MATERIAL, MACHINES:
-Our books, program manuals and CDs are locked in the bookcases next to the main lab door. The keys are in the key cabinet (green keyring).

-Our stationery and office material are in the cupboard labelled ''OFFICE MATERIAL'' and ''ARCHIVE 2''. We usually have a good stock of everything, if you need something or you see that we're running out of anything, please tell Núria V. 

-There's a First Aid Kit, it's next to the key cabinet. ICIQ doesn't provide aspirin, paracetamol etc. 

-Please report issues with the HP printer (the one in the middle) to the IT Unit through [website https://helpdesk.iciq.es/portal/]



* SUSTAINABILITY AND RECYCLING:

-The recommended temperature in the lab is 25ºC in summer and 21ºC in winter, so set the air conditioning accordingly

-Print ONLY IF NECESSARY and on used paper when possible, put one-side printed paper on its tray next to the printer, and throw useless paper in the recycling bin.

-There's a container for plastic in the "coffee area", and a small container for flat batteries and another one for pens / pencils / markers on the desk below the First Aid cabinet. 

-You'll find other eco-containers in the kitchens. There're no glass containers, but you can find one right outside ICIQ (where the bus stop is).

-Plastic caps recycling campaign: please save your bottle plastic caps (polypropylene (PP) or high-density polyethylene (HDPE)) and leave them at Reception, there's a container there, the caps are to raise money for kids with serious health issues. Caps are attached to bottles as from 2024, but you can rip them off easily  :D



* FOOD & DRINKS

ALCOHOLIC DRINKS ARE PROHIBITED

-There is a small fridge we can freely use to keep our lunch boxes. Please, consider other users and do not store large bags in it. And please DO NOT leave food/drinks for months in the fridge!!! It is not intended for biological experimentation purposes.


-Coffee machine bought in 2024. You can use it with Nespresso capsules, any compatible ones, or refillable ones that you fill with the coffee you like (ask Martín). -Water bottle for the coffee machine and kettle: please take turns refilling it at the canteen


-Ed & Gibu are in charge of collecting money to buy capsules (Oct. 2025)

-If you leave anything on the coffee machine table, we'll assume that whatever you've left can be used/eaten/drunk by anyone!
