If you'd like to attend one of the conferences below remember to:
1) ask your boss (if possible with an approx. estimate of cost)
2) contact Gladys to prepare one of the documents in the R+D+i procedures ICIQ_Procedures
3) ask for travel insurance at least a week before your departure date
4) once back, fill in the "assessment" and "individual training" documents in the R+D+i procedures ICIQ_Procedures

ESPA2012 Second Announcement (ESPA: Electronic Structure: Principles and Applications International Conference)
The ESPA2012 international congress will be held from June 26th till 29th, 2012 in Barcelona (www.espa2012.com<http://www.espa2012.com/>) is open for registrations since January 15th, 2012. It consists of a series of plenary lectures delivered by highly reputed scientists in different fields of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, as well as contributed talks and poster sessions. ESPA2012 is organized in eight sessions, covering four main areas in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry: Theory, Methods and Foundations, Materials Science, Chemical Reactivity, and Biomolecular Modelling.
The cost of the registration fee is 325 € for Ph. D. students, and 400 € for the rest of participants. Grants will be given later on to further lowering the registration fee of Ph. D. students, depending its amount on the total value of the support provided to the organizers by various private companies and institutions.
If you still have doubts, you can contact us at the following email address: info@espa2012.com<mailto:info@espa2012.com> We have planned ESPA2012 as a celebration of Science and friendship. We hope that you can joint us from June 26th until June 29th 2012.
Symposium on Advances in Quantum Chemistry: Interfacing Electronic Structure with Dynamics
Will be held June 20-22, 2012, on the Twin Cities Campus of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. This symposium is organized by Mark S. Gordon and Donald G. Truhlar and is hosted by and cosponsored by the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute, with additional sponsorship by Cray Inc.

Note especially that the early bird registration deadline is Jan. 16, 2012. Space is limited.
XVIII International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis (ISHC-18), Toulouse, France, from 9 to 13 July, 2012.
The online registration will be open on February 1st, 2012
Homogeneous Catalysis continues to be a thriving discipline and to deliver important discoveries at the service of society. It represents perhaps the most relevant contribution of chemistry to sustainable development. This conference will gather World experts who will present the cutting edge advances in all the above mentioned areas. It will include, and not be restricted to, the following areas:
- Organometallic catalysis - Cross coupling reactions - Catalytic C-H functionalization - Olefin metathesis - Catalytic radical reactions - Catalyzed selective organic syntheses - Catalytic polymerizations - Catalyzed transformations of renewable feedstock - Organocatalysis - Enzymatic catalysis - Biomimetic/bioinspired catalysis - Electrocatalysis - Photocatalysis - Solar energy - Catalysis in non conventional solvents - Heterogenized homogeneous catalysis - Multiphasic homogeneous catalysis - Mechanistic investigations of catalytic cycles - Computational approaches
The conference programme will consist of Invited Lectures and Contributed Oral Communications to be held in a single session. Two Poster Sessions and an ample social programme will allow further opportunities to exchange information and ideas. You are invited to submit a contribution either as a short lecture (20 min, including discussion) or as a poster communication presenting original unpublished work.
XXV International Conference Organometallic Chemistry-Lisboa 2012
The XXV International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry (ICOMC), to be held in Lisbon, September 2- 7, 2012 by drawing your attention to the website, although this is still under construction:

The registration is already open, and do not miss the advantage of the early bird discount.
This is the Silver edition (25th) and concerns the Gold year (the 50th since 1963, when the 1st one was held in Cincinnati) of this Conference, following the highly successful previous editions of this prestigious series, namely, just to mention the closest ones, those held in Taipei, Rennes, Zaragoza and Vancouver.
The 14th International Congress of Quantum Chemistry will he held in
Boulder, Colorado, on June 25 - 30, 2012. This triennial event is
organized by the International Academy of Quantum Chemical Sciences
based in Menton and is a major forum that brings together quantum
chemists from around the world
